why do i see layers?
a lot of people see flat. i see layers. layers of culture, layers of color, layers of forms...
i am interested in layers of meaning. in other words what lies below the surface, untherneath.
my fascination is the exploration and revelation of the unknown, or at least its search.
the process of layering allows me to find the balance between form and function. a constant opposition of this to that, but easily transformed in the 'well it can be like this but also like that'. the smooth and the rough, the rough on the smooth. the peace with war and the war with out peace.
there is several ways to reach the balance. perhaps, at the end, when we see everything we are to see, we then maybe realize that all ways take you to there. to the communication of what we are and the way we express it. the perfect balance of form and function.
revealing one layer next to another, adding one culture to another with out loosing either...
